A touching story that strikes the heart and makes one ponder
One day, a rich man arrived in Heaven after his death from old age As he was about to enter the gates, an angel stopped him and said "I cannot let you in, for I cant find your name in the Book of Life" The rich man replied: "That is ridiculous, while I was still living on Earth, I donated at least tens if not hundreds of thousands for charity purposes" The angel when a head and checked the records, and indeed the man did spend quite a sum of money to help the poor, so the angel went ahead and reported to the Lord "My Lord, from our records it shows that this man has spent money on charity for the poor, should I let him in?" The Lord replied: "Give him ten billion dollars, and tell him to buy a bus ticket to Hell."
It is really easy for men to remember all the good things we did but we so often forget that compared to what Jesus has done, all these are consider almost worthless for in the eyes of God, if one is not covered with the blood of Christ we are merely just sinners that deserves death.
